Is plausibly the most earth-shaping event in history worth six days of consideration to you?
No matter what you think of Jesus, we all must admit that the historical Jesus of Nazareth transformed the world. People all over the world continue to trust and follow Jesus and His teachings.
So what does it mean to follow Jesus? What does it look like? Why does it matter? We invite you to talk through those questions with another follower of Jesus in our church or somewhere else. But here's a tip: Look for answers while reading a first century, peer-reviewed record of eye-witness followers of Jesus. The shortest one is Mark's Gospel, written between 40 AD and 69 AD. It's in the Bible.
We want to come along side you as you spend six days in Mark's Gospel of Jesus. We'll explain how further below. But first, here is a short video that summarizes the gospel message visually.
It's only two and half minutes long:

A video like that can help get to the point quickly. But, many find reading a time-tested and universally received account of Jesus's life and ministry to be better. It's more authentic. It gives you substance to evaluate and discuss. It will also help you see how Jesus changed lives then and now.
Think about it...
Think about it...
Followers of Jesus over the centuries have had their lives changed for the good of all.
Instead of continuing to live for themselves, they learned to obey Jesus's teaching out of love for God and others. From the early days, many of them risked and gave their lives to do things like speak out against killing for sport in the colosseums and care for unwanted babies, orphans, widows, and outcasts. They built hospitals and schools, abolished the modern slave trade, served their communities, and spread the good news of Jesus with their lives and teaching.
Jesus's following has more reach in the world today than ever. And... it has been about 2,000 years since Jesus walked this earth. Amazing? That's how a lot of people described Jesus back then too. You can see that for yourself in the early record of Jesus's life and ministry in Mark's Gospel.
Don't you think that's...

Worth at least considering? Here's the format.
See why so many people have been not only amazed by but also transformed by Jesus. Use this short series to spend six days in the gospel of Jesus as recorded by one of His followers, John Mark. Go through it on your own, or better yet, meet up six times with one or more followers of Jesus to ask them questions as you go through the series.
The format is simple. The first day introduces the series and the gospel theme throughout the Bible. It does this with a short sermon clip, introductory remarks, and Bible verses with questions to discuss. Each day after that includes a reading of Mark's Gospel with a sermon clip, a Bible theme to look for, and questions to discuss when you meet up. The six sermon clips are from one sermon through all of Mark's Gospel of Jesus.
You can go through this in six consecutive days or spread it out into something like six weeks. You can listen and read through the content before meeting up or go through it all together.
Meet in person. Do a group chat. Schedule phone or video calls. Do a mixture of all those. Do it as a group, in a class, or with one other person. However you go through this, we hope you will seriously consider this question: "What good is the gospel doing in you?

gospel = good news
It is one beautiful story,
from Genesis to Revelation.
from Genesis to Revelation.
It all centers around the one true God . . . the creation and condition of humanity. . . the person and work of Christ . . . and God's call for sinners to respond to His gracious salvation.
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 1 Peter 3:18
