1 Timothy 4:12-16 | Gather to Exercise in Godliness

We must lift our eyes to the beauty and duty of gathering to exercise ourselves in godliness!

Our passage today instructs Timothy on how to faithfully lead and order the gatherings of the church for the purpose of what was instructed in the preceding verses: exercise yourself unto godliness.

This is not exhaustive for what we do when we gather. Chapter two made clear that we are to pray. Other letters like Colossians and Ephesians including singing truths of the gospel. But these five in our text give us some vital ingredients for the church to gather and exercise ourselves in godliness.
