Structured Prayer in Philippians

Help us respond to scripture in Philippians with song and prayer for one hour together. Our church began being shaped by Philippians over five years ago, and the Lord has given us sweet unity since then. Satan delights in dividing the church, so we will go back to these scriptures in prayer to "stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel."

Pastor John sought the Spirit's leadership while planning this prayer time. Even so, we may adjust midcourse if we believe the Spirit would have us focus more on one area or another. The schedule serves to help us pray purposefully and in response to scripture. By breaking up the prayer times into smaller segments, we are encouraged to use less vain filler words and repetition as Jesus taught us. Instead, we will pray with expectation that God hears and answers simple prayers.
